You’re set up with an affordable monthly payment, which is determined on a client-by-client basis between you and an agent at the law firm you are referred to. Based upon what you are able to pay each month into your settlement account, the firm will estimate how many months you will be part of the program.
Once you are a client you will be provided with a log book so throughout the program you can log all creditor calls. You will also be assigned your own personal Account Manager. Your Account Manager will be your point of contact throughout the program to answer any questions you may have, as well as to guide you through the process. We feel having a one on one relationship with the same Account Manager throughout the entire program is EXTREMELY beneficial. This way we can make sure our clients have someone to reach out to that will be familiar with their specific situation.
Negotiating on your behalf
Your current level of unsecured debt will be skillfully negotiated for you. The program negotiates an agreement with your creditors to accept an amount less than what you currently owe. Reaching a settlement usually takes several phone calls. Once a settlement offer has been reached, and you as the client have agreed on this amount, you will pay the agreed upon amount from your settlement account. This is always done with your authorization, whether verbal or written.
This is the end result. You are informed of all debt settlement offers made by your creditors and given the opportunity to accept or refuse. Once an offer is accepted you will receive a settlement letter so that you have a written copy for your own records. Once paid, the creditor will update your credit report to reflect a ZERO BALANCE!
